Recovering from a Personal InjuryAlthough obtaining satisfactory compensation for the injury and other losses you have suffered is clearly important, we are sure you will agree that it is not as important as your personal health. Recovering from your personal injury as quickly as possible is your number one priority! Once you are fit and well, you can start to put the accident behind you and get on with things. You can return to work and get your life back to normal. Of course, this is not always possible. Sadly, some injuries are permanent, causing disability, permanent scarring, or even psychological problems. However, it is true to say that with the correct treatment, improvements can be achieved. Fortunately, for the majority of our accident and injury claim clients, a full recovery is made. The real issue is, how long will it take before you are fully recovered? We are not doctors and clearly cannot give specific advice, however, there are many choices available to you. In addition to your General Practitioner who should be your first contact for assistance and advice, there are physiotherapists, osteopaths, alternative therapies such as acupuncture, homeothopy, hypnosis, reflexology, massage, to name a few. If your doctor refers you to a specialist, you can be confident that his or her advice is based on experience. You can, of course, decide to seek the advice of other specialists who may be able to help you. Always keep receipts for any treatments you may have to pay for. We may be able to recover these costs if the treatment was necessary or beneficial to your recovery. |
