Public Liability Claims

Members of the public often suffer injury as a result of simply leaving their homes and walking along the pavement.

If the accident was witnessed, get the details of the witnesses while they are still around as it will be necessary to prove exactly when and where the accident occurred. If possible, return to the accident scene with a camera and take photographs of the cause of your injury. It is equally important that you see a qualified medical expert who can confirm the extent and nature of your injury and offer a course of action to relieve the symptoms. If a claim is made, it will be necessary to obtain medical evidence to support your claim so do not avoid visiting your GP if symptoms persist.
